Girls as young as 13 complain about losing hair and wondering what to do to prevent it. Of course, when it comes to teens, hair loss could be happening for many reasons. Actually, for girls, hair loss can come from poor diet, an ailment, chemical imbalance, and even, stress.

Chemical imbalance are often medicine related. Such as a new prescription pill that the body experience an adverse reaction. Some young women who just began taking birth control pills also experience temporary hairloss.

Poor diet normally means deficiency in vitamins. Also, there have been cases where lack of meat leads to hair loss.

Below is an article on reasons why there is such a thing as female teenage hair loss:

Young Women with Hair Loss- Discovering the Reasons
Females can be markedly different from males when it comes to hair fall because there are young women with hair loss. This is in contrast to the late age at which most men experience partial or full balding. This suggests that there can be a variety of reasons and causes behind falling hair in women. The reasons given below are only some of the possible causes of the condition in young women.

Hormonal Changes

Many women lose plenty of hair during the menopausal stage. This is because biological changes at this stage could lower the amount of estrogen in the body. Normally, estrogen balances testosterone levels which are a factor in hair loss. Although young women normally do not experience menopause yet, they are still likely to undergo some hormonal fluctuations at some point in their lives. Pregnancy or the period directly after that can also be a time for hormonal changes. Hence, women at this period in their lives may notice more falling hair than normal.

Stress

Stress can be brought about by a number of different factors. Mental and emotional stress for example could be triggered by difficult personal or professional problems. Physical or biological stress on the other hand can be the result of severe illness or strong medication. Whatever the kind and cause of stress, it has been generally linked to temporary hair loss. Female teens and young adults may have more than their fair share of difficult situations.

Tight Hair Styles

Women with long hair may opt to tie their locks. Frequently arranging hair in tight styles like braids, ponytails and corn rolls could pull some strands off. In some cases, these hairstyles may even injure the scalp and cause scarring that could lead to a permanent bald patch. It is always best to alternate tight styles with loose styles.

Young women with hair loss can also be affected by several other factors. These three however are among the major ones. In a lot of cases, hair problems in young women can be eased by a couple of treatment options.

--
To learn more about the causes of hair loss in women, visit http://femalehairlossreport.com/, the brief and concise guide to everything you need to know about hair loss in women.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Ladies, how to reverse thinning hair?

As we get older, not only do we worry about more things such as bills, children, mortgage etc. We often find ourselves perplexed with health issues. But just as bad, are things we do not accept outright as important, such as hair loss. But deep down inside ... yes the issue is very important and quite serious.

If thinning hair is creeping up on you, then you might want to read the article below. It gives some great tips to minimize the outcome.

The Frustrating Problem of Thinning Hair in Women
Author: John Tulley

By the age of fifty, thinning hair in women will be a natural occurrence. This is according to the studies conducted by top researchers all over the world. Women are not exempted from hair loss or hair thinning and it is due to various reasons.

How will you find out the real reason of your thinning hair? Well, you alone can't identify the true reasons behind hair thinning. You must consult a medical professional or a hair specialist and undergo thorough examination. If you do not do this, you will not be able to find out the best treatment option that you can use to treat your thinning hair.

You can't easily tell the pattern of balding or hair thinning in women unlike men. The start of hair thinning also greatly differs between women and men. As women reach her forties or fifties, hair thinning usually begins. Receding hairlines are commonly noted among men but not in women. Women usually have thinning hair on the top but there are also cases of overall hair thinning in the different areas of the head. At present, experts have not identified the root cause of hair thinning but they believe that it has something to do with hormonal imbalance or changes as a woman ages.

In the United States, about 43M women are suffering from hair thinning. About 30 million of these women are experiencing hair thinning primarily because of genetic reasons. This is popularly called androgenetic alopecia. Other women have hair thinning problems because of hormonal changes, diet problems, and underlying illness or medical condition. These things are simply probable reasons and this may be the reason why a lot of women are confused about their problem.

As the entire women population ages, the problem will be more serious. If you want to reverse hair thinning, use these tips:

• Use volumnizing hair products. These products will increase the volume of your hair.
• Make use of hair restorative conditioners, shampoos; it can help in reducing hair thinning occurrence
• To give your hair volume and body, try semi-permanent or permanent color
• Use hair products especially for styling hair moderately
• Have your hair cut short because long hair will only emphasize thinning of hair
• Avoid direct blow drying
• Take vitamins and eat a healthy diet

Take note of the tips given above and somehow you can improve your overall looks. It is very important to eat a healthy diet as you grow old so that the body will get all the necessary nutrients it needs. Frequent hair styling should be avoided so that it cannot contribute to further hair thinning.

If you follow the tips mentioned above, then you will have healthier and beautiful hair. Still, if you can't restore your hair's original looks, you need to accept your situation and that it is part of the aging process. Live with it and style your hair in such a way as not to emphasize the thinning.

Consulting a specialist is probably the best advice that you can get. This way, the doctor can prescribe you with the appropriate medications, treatments, or remedies. Your hair stylist can also help you out in styling your hair. Thinning hair in women is not really a big problem and it would depend entirely on you and on how you deal with your problem.

About the author: John Tulley manages the Provillus Alpha7: natural hair loss products web site. Many observers lauded the hand-held laser hair therapy as an advancement that benefits millions of men suffering from male pattern baldness. One proponent, Bill Blatter, president of the Hair Loss Control Clinic in Latham, New York, was quoted in the Times Union stating that "[t]he biggest problem in the hair-loss industry is credibility. Most people have been ripped off. Now, they know the laser works. It gives them a comfort zone that there is a product approved by the FDA."

Still, there were also skeptics of varying degrees who reasonably (some unreasonably) criticized the laser hair comb. Much of the skepticism seem to come from past experiences with products that claim to grow hair fast. Below are the articles I could find online that are critical of the latest scalp stimulator. I compiled what I can so that visitors of this site may receive a more complete picture of the laser comb review:

Adam Frucci and SCI FI Tech awarded HairMax LaserComb the top honor for Top 10 Wildest, Wackiest Gadgets from the Back of Magazines. Mr. Frucci went on to write, "I'm still beyond skeptical, but if you feel like using lasers to comb your hair and don't think $545 is too much to waste on such a questionable product, now you've got the FDA to blame in addition to yourself for your idiotic purchasing choices."

In an article for Earthtimes.org, Dr. Marc Avram was quoted, "It is a new therapy that is not a magical cure unfortunately, but for some patients, it will be helpful to help maintain or re-grow some hair.”

From KARE 11, a local TV station in Minnesota, their article indicated that "Experts say the device is not as effective as Rogaine or Propecia, the two medications approved to treat hair loss."

Steve Tiley of Edmontonsun.com released a very skeptical article. He wrote, "For real? A laser comb that grows hair? All these shampoos and natural remedies and scalp massagers have been proven bogus, but blasting your head with frickin' laser beams - if you'll pardon the way-obvious Dr. Evil reference - gets a pass?" The Z List emphasizes the sharing of blogs that are not widely read or known in the blogoshere. The key is to-Copy and paste the entire list below into a new post in your blog. Remove your own link if you’re on there, and feel free to add any blogs you want to the top. Include a link to the blog where you got the list from, publish it and that’s it. Bloggers will notice this link and hopefully join in, linking back to you & giving out more links to others on the list. Note that you can join the Z List meme even though your blog haven’t been tagged. Just copy and paste the list below and add Blogandpingtutorial.blogspot.com and any other blogs you want to share on the list and publish it in your blog.

How can I participate in the Z-List Meme?

Finally, the exact steps you need to follow in order to join the meme.
1. Create a new post on your blog.
2. Copy and Paste the entire list of blog links below
3. Add any blogs that you want to include near the top of the list. (This isn’t compulsory, so you can either add as many blogs as you want or none at all.)
4. Include the blog where you first got the list from, on the list in your post.
5. Do not include your own blog links on the list in your post.
6. Make sure that all links point to each blog’s homepage.
7. Publish the Post.

The Origin of this Meme comes from Mark of Viral garden.

Here are my adds-

5-Star Affiliate Programs
klikbank.blogspot.com
blog.affiliateclassroom.com

The blogs below were already listed, including blogandpingtutorial.blogspot.com where I found this post:

blogandpingtutorial.blogspot.com
Taking Over The Web One City At A Time
Irish in Denmark
Franciov Weblog
The Thinking Blog
Cre8buzz
DoshDosh

Connected Internet
Blog-Op
Mike’s Money Making Mission
Time to Budget
Can I Make Big Money Online
Blogtrepreneur

Flee the Cube
Blogging Secret
Blogging to Fame
Million Dollar Experiment heads Down Under
Quest to make money on the internet

Kumiko’s Cash Quest
Calico Monkey
Internet Bazaar
Shotgun Marketing Blog
BrandSizzle

bizsolutionsplus
Customers Rock!
Being Peter Kim
Pow! To make sure that your hair grows healthy, you'll have to eat the right food.

Since hair is part of your body, hair loss can be linked to the food you eat. In fact, your current hair condition may be indicative of your current nutritional deficiencies or, even, state of health. For example, dry brittle hair can mean lack of omega-3 essential fatty acids, one of the essential nutrients. Additionally, dry brittle hair can also mean that the body is producing too little thyroid hormone, a very serious condition requiring medical attention. Furthermore, oily hair can mean an excessive diet of fatty food. But it can also come from hormonal activities such as puberty or pregnancy.

For male or female pattern baldness (MPB), experts are split on the effects of diet in preventing hair loss. On the one hand, since MPB is based on genes, then any diet or nutrition will not matter at all in hair loss prevention. On the other hand, many experts point to the relatively lesser occurrence of pattern baldness in other cultures, such as Asia, where vegetables are the primary food source. Luckily for us, experts' conflicting in views is the bad news. The good news is that the nutrition recommended by for hair loss treatment is generally beneficial for good health overall. So hair loss diet away!!!

What's important in your diet to promote healthy hair?

Protein - Along with skin, nails, and muscle fibres, hair is made of protein in the form of keratin. Our body constantly sheds protein, e.g. dry skin, cutting long nails, hair shedding, and must be replaced. Fish, eggs, beans and yogurt are good sources of protein. Soy is also a good source.

Vitamin C - This vitamin is required to grow and repair tissues. Lack of vitamin C leads to, among others, dry and splitting hair. Citrus fruits, green peppers, tomatoes, and broccolis are great sources of Vitamin C. Other sources include enriched commercially-available juices.

Vitamin B complex - folic acid, vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12. This complex of vitamins helps the body's resistance to stress. It also helps regulate blood pressure and promote healthy hair. Eggs, chicken, carrots, fish, peas, wheat germ, and walnuts are good sources of vitamin B-6. Spinach, broccolis, and other green vegetables are good sources of folic acid, along with whole grains and fruits. Shellfish, eggs, cheese, and fish are good sources of vitamin B-12.

Zinc - Regulates glands in the scalp from secreting excess oil. Also helps builds hair protein. Zinc deficiency leads to hair loss. Meat, poultry, fish, seafood, grains, nuts, eggs, and seeds are all good sources of zinc.

Technorati Tags: hair loss diet, hair growth food

Added a "Deals Online" section on my website

Since hair loss products can get very expensive, I'll continue to scour for providers who can help lower the costs. Simple, I didn't like it on me. I feel much better even if I had just a thin layer of hair on my head. I still get the buzz cut, but it will be 2, maybe 3, in clipper talks, instead of 1 or completely shaved. Lucky for me, I met Stephanie Suthers, owner/founder of Hairobics All Natural, who gave me some tips on how to use her line of products to grow my hair.

Roughly 4-5 months later, here are my results:

This is me late September 2006, around the time when I began using Hairobis All Natural. I was also inspired to document my progress and create my website/blog notreadyforhairloss.com.

                                                                                                                                December 2006

                                                                      February 2007

Conclusion to date -- Still balding, duh! BUT, I feel, and, from the pics, see some of my thinning hair thicken. I do not think that I regrew hair, nothing out there can really do that. But some of the folicles that were dying, have been nourished so that it began growing hair once more. In between the longer hair strands, I feel some fuzzy growth of hair that I hope will grow to be normal in a few months.
I also believe that my results are inline with the results from Dateline NBC video where the effects of 5 hair loss treatments -- Rogaine, Propecia, Viviscal, hair transplant, HairMax Laser Comb -- were studied over 1 year on 5 men.

Link to the video: The follicle five: Battle against baldness

From what I've seen, the 6-month mark for these guys were not all that great either. But over a year, the results were remarkable. I'm hoping for the same results one year later with Hairobics.

Technorati Tags: hair loss pics, rogaine, laser hair comb, Hairobics

Yearning for What Was

Remember the US Festival back in the 80’s? What about heavy metal or, to many, the hair bands? Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt and others made it seem cool to be a rocker? And it was. The carefree lifestyle that we emulated or tried to. The creative, sometimes destructive, celebration of youth. And the girls, oh the girls.

What about computers without Windows? Typing commands after the c:\ prompt. Then inserting a floppy in the a:\ drive to save the work. Try using those nowadays. My point is simple — times changed, not necessarily for the best, but it moved and left us behind some pleasant, some painful memories of what was back then.

Times changed and, most likely, you did too. Or you’re changing right now. As I am. Specifically, if you’re like me, then you might actually have thinning hair. Maybe even balding.

But wait a minute! It is perfectly acceptable for a mature man (child of the 80’s twenty years later is mature) to lose hair. What’s the big deal. It’s all part of life — your born, you grow-up, you get married, you have kids, you lose hair, you die. Losing hair is part of the traditional life cycle, at least for over 40 million American men. So you’re not alone.

But nah! I’m not ready to buy into the traditional thinking just yet. And neither are you. After all, we are in the millenium. We can clone animals. We can fix our eyeballs to get 20/20 vision through laser. I’m sure that we can do something about thinning hair. And we have been. There are millions of men worldwide using some form of hair loss treatment. But do you know any guy who publicly admits to working on their dome? Chances are no. Why? Well, frankly, it’s a little embarassing. It’s just not proper, or acceptable, for a man to worry about something so vain. That’s why I made this site. To empathize with you about this little thing called hair loss, male pattern baldness, or its scientific name, androgenetic alopecia.

I’m quite sure that we’re never gonna have the hair we had back in our youths. Again, we’re not alone. In any case, for some of you, it’s not yet too late. And you should know it. There’s plenty of things you can do to slow down, maybe even stop hair loss. Visit my site www.notreadyforhairloss.com and read about your options and where to buy products to help you. I focused mainly on non-prescription solutions, primarily because that’s what I’ve been doing. Oh ya, Nioxin, then minoxidil (cheaper than Rogaine), and, now, Hairobics All Natural.

This is just the launch (Jan 2007) of www.notreadyforhairloss.com. The site will evolve. So come back and visit.
